Phil Arballo Pulls in Massive Fundraising Haul, Raising $830,000 in Second Quarter of 2020

FRESNO — Congressman Devin Nunes’ Democratic challenger Phil Arballo has  announced a massive fundraising haul, raising $830,000 in the second quarter of 2020. As a result, the campaign has pulled in over $2.6-million in the race to defeat Devin Nunes.

In a statement announcing the numbers, Arballo’s Campaign Manager Taylor Bollhagen said:

“Devin Nunes is running scared because voters are onto him. They’re tired of the petty partisanship and frivolous lawsuits. They’re ready for a representative who will deliver for the Central Valley, that is why our campaign is building momentum every day and our internal polling shows that when voters know the candidates this race is neck and neck.”

The $829,689.55 raised in the second quarter came from over 28,500 contributions at an average of $28.92 per donation. 98.1% of all donations have been under $200.

The Arballo campaign was able to take advantage of a Virginia judge’s ruling late last month against Nunes in his lawsuit against Twitter. The campaign raised over $65,000 in the three days following the decision.

Since Arballo launched his bid to unseat Nunes, the campaign has raised a total of $2,624,463.63.
