FRESNO – Democratic Candidate Phil Arballo, running against California’s most vulnerable Republican Congressman, Devin Nunes (CA-22), announced his 5th labor endorsement of the cycle today, the International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 3.
Operating Engineers Local 3 is the largest construction trades local in the U.S., representing over 37,000 members across a four-state jurisdiction of California, Hawaii, Nevada and Utah. From heavy equipment operators and mechanics, to surveyors, construction inspectors, highway maintenance workers, police officers and other public employees, they represent the men and women who drive this country’s economy.
Dave Mercer, District Representative for IUOE Local No. 3, stated the following in support of Arballo.
“Phil Arballo is a strong candidate who has what it takes to defeat Devin Nunes. He has made working people a hallmark of his campaign and will support the men and women who build our country when he’s in Washington. As a working person himself, he is someone who we can trust with our best interests. We are proud to endorse him in CA-22.”
Arballo, raised over $250,000 in the third quarter alone. In the four months since his launch, Arballo has raised over $380,000. His campaign is powered by over 8,000 individual contributors with an average donation of $33. Arballo has a sustained, strong, recurring donor base, essential in the fight against Nunes.
