Arballo Campaign to Donate 200 Meals to Local Hospitals in Show of Appreciation to Healthcare Workers

FRESNO — Congressman Devin Nunes’ Democratic challenger Latino Small Businessman Phil Arballo announced today, Thursday, April 16th, that his campaign will be donating 200 meals to local hospitals to show support for small business and the community’s frontline healthcare workers amidst the response to the Coronavirus pandemic.

“We owe our healthcare professionals and all of our essential workers a debt of gratitude for their service during this time of crisis. They are demonstrating the resilience and strength of the people of the Central Valley,” said Congressional Candidate Phil Arballo. “Providing them with a hot meal during one of their countless shifts is the least we can do to show our support and gratitude.”

This Friday evening, the campaign will deliver 100 meals to the Clovis Community Medical Center’s Emergency Department purchased from The Local in Old Town Clovis and 100 meals to Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia purchased from Chapala Grill. These two hospitals are at the forefront of coronavirus cases in California’s 22nd District.

The donation from the campaign comes at the same time that Congressman Nunes continues to peddle false information out about the severity of the Coronavirus. In contrast, the Arballo campaign has taken the Coronavirus pandemic seriously since day one, working remotely since March 16.
